Melody’s May 2017 Wrap Up

This month is all about TV as we head out of the 2016-2017 TV season and head into summer 2017.  I really enjoyed the season finales of The Last Man on Earth, New Girl, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Fresh off the BoatCrazy Ex-Girlfriend, Jane the Virgin, Life in Pieces, Superstore, The Good Place, Timeless, Shades of Blue, Colony, 12 Monkeys, and Legion. The series finale for Bates Motel, The Vampire Diaries, and Switched at Birth delivered. I definitely teared up watching the series finale of Switched at Birth. What a ride it’s been, I’m going to miss all of these shows tremendously. What were some of your favorite finales?

I also really enjoyed checking out the new season of Master of None, which is, truly, a masterpiece. I’m not even trying to make a pun there, it’s absolutely phenomenal. Some of the best TV you’ll see all year. Stay tuned next week for a breakdown of what I’ll be checking out this summer.

As for books, I only finished reading one book this month but I’ve been going back and forth between reading plenty, so my list will be quite something come next month. I’m also attending Book Expo America May 31 – June 2, so stay tuned for my BEA coverage as well here, on Twitter, and Instagram (@melliesimps and @yatreats). Also, if you’re heading into NYC and you’re looking for a vegan place to eat, check out Terri. I went for breakfast yesterday before I picked up my BEA badge and it was delicious! Alright, here’s my wrap up!
