Best friends since they could walk. In love since the age of fourteen.
Complete strangers since this morning.
He’ll do anything to remember. She’ll do anything to forget.

Wow. This book was amazing. Absolutely took me for a loop. In a time where concepts like this (the main character “wakes up” and doesn’t remember anything) are overdone, Hoover and Fisher have reminded me why I love this concept so much when it’s done right. When it blows all of the others out of the water. This was absolutely amazing. I loved that Charlie and Silas, girlfriend and boyfriend both find themselves in the position where their memories have been forgotten and I love, love, love that the story is told from both of their points of view as the story plays out.

I can’t even begin to describe how much I love this story and how excited I am to continue reading it. I love the tone, the air of mystery and suspense, the tension between these two people who were in love and one day wake up strangers to not just their relationship but to themselves and their own little worlds around them. How the dynamic unfolds between Charlie and Silas is so delicate and beautiful. I love it. The pacing was spectacular and the way that the story ended, oh my goodness, I am so happy Part Two is out now but I know I will devour Part Two and I have no idea when Part Three is releasing! Ah!

Anyway, Never Never is truly the most beautiful novella I’ve read all year, the best I’ve ever read actually and this is only part one. Never Never is riveting. It provides way more questions than it does answers so be prepared and know what you’re getting yourself into. Have three hours to sit down and read this because you will be captivated from the very first page and you will not want to put this book down until you get to the end.

Now while I’m still working out in my head the structure of this story (trilogy novella instead of one large novel), if I compare it to a TV mini series, then it makes more sense in my head and I really love cliffhangers so I loved the ending to part one and am highly anticipating reading part two shortly and part three when it releases to see how it all comes together. Simply put, Never Never was everything I hoped it would be and more. I don’t want to speak too soon but if this keeps up, this is going to be one of my favorite reads of the year.

Never Never: Part One of Three by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher is available today.
