19 Kids & Counting (TLC) – Episode 14.1 “Duggars & Mothers”

19 Kids returned for an all new season this week and what a welcome back it was! It was interesting seeing how Jessa and Ben’s relationship is progressing but more importantly, how welcoming all of these families that are coming together because of Jessa and Ben as well as Jill and Derick are. These families have such big hearts and seeing that in action is why I keep coming back to watch this show. So wonderful to see. Itching to see Jill and Derick’s wedding soon!

The Story of Frozen: Making A Disney Animated Classic (ABC)

It was fascinating to see just how personal this story, this world, these characters were for the crew and how much of that made it into the final cut of the animated Disney movie. I loved seeing that! This aspect was probably my favorite of this entire special! Idina? Kristen? Brilliant. But the heart behind the making of this? Even more awe inspiring.

Stand Up to Cancer Live Telecast

As someone who has both lost people close to me to cancer and seen people close to me survive cancer, I always make it a point to stand up 2 cancer, so this was an especially significant telecast for me. Not only does Stand Up 2 Cancer raise a ton of money for research, all throughout the telecast, through performances and all, the bottom of the screen had the most unbelievable statistics about cancer which is why it’s so important to continue to raise money for research so those numbers can diminish. One fact in particular?

1 in 285 children will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 20.

Treatments evolve everyday and there are many improvements but there can be many more with the help of you and those you know and love. So if you have yet to give, please be sure to do so at Stand Up 2 Cancer.

The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story (Lifetime)

Based on my Twitter feed, most of the people who watched this TV movie found it boring. I am in the minority in that I enjoyed it. It wasn’t fantastic, must see TV or anything but it was enough nostalgia for me and that’s all I was really in it for anyway. I think I became more excited when I recognized certain episodes being shot than anything else. So if you happen to catch an encore of this movie, go ahead and take some time to watch this. Otherwise, you’re not missing anything spectacular.

The Brittany Murphy Story (Lifetime)

This was a very well executed film, even if the role of Ashton Kutcher was better cast than the lead role of Brittany Murphy and the drug problem was essentially dismissed. Because her death is so mysterious and doesn’t sit well with…anyone, I don’t think that I could ever watch this again. Once was enough. To remember an actress we all once loved seeing on the screen if only for a moment.
