8pm
UTOPIA (Fox, Sept 7), Once Upon a Time (ABC, Sept 28)
8:30pm
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Fox, Sept 28)
9pm
Resurrection (ABC, Sept 28), Family Guy (Fox, Sept 28), The Walking Dead (AMC, Oct 12)
10pm
Talking Dead (AMC, Oct 12)
Midnight
Comic Book Men (AMC, Oct 12)

My younger sister got me into Bob’s Burgers this past year and while I haven’t seen every single episode, I have seen and enjoyed enough of them to continue watching and now make it a point to watch the show when it originally airs.

I’m excited about the social experiment that is Utopia. Something tells me that I’m either going to love it or hate it so we’ll see! As for Once Upon A Time? I have a love-hate relationship with this show and stopped watching (again) in the first half of last season. But I’m back on board and since I have yet to catch up, I’m just going to hope that the Pan story line is over at this point because that story line which was dragged out to the max is why I stopped watching last season.

Now Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Family Guy are not shows that I watch weekly but when I do watch, I’m entertained and that small dosage is enough for me. Looking forward to whatever episodes I’ll catch this season. I am super pumped for the second season of Resurrection and hope that it’s not as short as season one. Am I the only one who watches Comic Book Men because sometimes it feels like I’m all alone. Anyone?

And finally, my most anticipated Sunday night TV show… The Walking Dead.

Monday
8pm
GOTHAM (Fox, Sept 22), The Big Bang Theory (CBS, Sept 22), The Voice (NBC, Sept 22)
8:30pm
Mom (CBS, Sept 29)
9pm
SCORPION (CBS, Sept 22), ASCENSION (Syfy, Nov 24)
10pm
The Blacklist (NBC, Sept 22), Castle (ABC, Sept 29)

So… I’m two seasons behind on The Big Bang Theory. Eek! I know. I’ll catch up one day soon. I will. In the meantime, I’ll continue to watch random episodes and be totally lost for the major storylines and completely entertained with the minor ones. I also missed the last handful of episodes of Mom but can easily catch up before the new season which I will because as you know, I love Anna Faris and Allison Janney. Now I told myself that I was done with music competition shows but Gwen Stefani is pulling me back to The Voice. Oh, Gwen.

Then there are the new series, Scorpion and Ascension. I was initially intrigued by Scorpion but it wasn’t must see TV for me but after seeing the promos so many times, I just keep getting more and more excited for this show. And Ascension… Well, I watch everything on Syfy and give everything on this network at least one season because they always deliver, it’s simply a matter of finding what fits me best. And boy am I excited for Ascension! Can’t wait to watch!

Finally, my most anticipated Monday night returning show goes to The Blacklist and my most anticipated Monday night new series goes to GOTHAM.

Tuesday
8pm
The Story of Frozen (ABC, Sept 2), UTOPIA (Fox, Sept 9), The Voice (NBC, Sept 23) SELFIE (ABC, Sept 30), THE FLASH (The CW, Oct 7)
9pm
19 Kids & Counting (TLC, Sept 2), New Girl (Fox, Sept 16), Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC, Sept 23), Supernatural (The CW, Oct 7)
9:30pm
The Mindy Project (Fox, Sept 16)
10pm
Sons of Anarchy (FX, Sept 9), Person of Interest (CBS, Sept 23), TOWN OF THE LIVING DEAD (Syfy, Oct 7)

I wouldn’t have even given ABC’s Selfie a chance if not for Karen Gillan (Doctor Who). After watching the Pilot episode of Selfie, which is available on Hulu, On Demand, etc… I must say that it’s pretty adorable. Though I’m concerned about the longevity of the series. Not in regards to ratings but in regards to the storytelling. I’m also going to throw it out there that as much as I enjoyed Selfie, I don’t see myself watching this show live regularly but instead On Demand or on Hulu when I get to it. And I would much rather have seen Super Fun Night in its second season than this because that was thoroughly entertaining whereas this is so-so.

Wow, I am not caught up on quite a few of these shows. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Supernatural, Sons of Anarchy, and Person of Interest… I am behind on all of these shows. Yikes! I only plan to get caught up on two of these shows this TV season but I will be watching the others here and there as well. Then there’s New Girl which I am excited about as well as 19 Kids & Counting, The Flash, and Town of the Living Dead.

My most anticipated Tuesday night show is hands down The Mindy Project.

Not on my schedule but worth mentioning is ABC’s Forever which is available on Hulu Plus, On Demand, etc… This show reminds me of Sherlock and Bones among others and if you’re in the mood for that, this is the show for you! I’m sure this show will get even better and better as each episode airs but with so much TV on my schedule, I’m unfortunately not going to have time to carve out for shows I don’t absolutely love. Maybe I’ll binge watch this show each summer since for now, I won’t be watching week to week. It’s a great show, just not a must see for me.

Wednesday
8pm
The Middle (ABC, Sept 24), Arrow (The CW, Oct 8)
9pm
RED BAND SOCIETY (Fox, Sept 17), Modern Family (ABC, Sept 24), Law & Order: SVU (NBC, Sept 24), Criminal Minds (CBS, Oct 1), The 100 (The CW, Oct 22)
9:30pm
BLACK-ISH (ABC, Sept 24)
10pm
Nashville (ABC, Sept 24), American Horror Story: Freak Show (FX, Oct 8)

Is this going to be one of my favorite nights for TV? Probably. With Arrow, The Middle, Modern Family, The 100, and American Horror Story: Freak Show all on one night… I think so. Hey, remember when no one really even knew what American Horror Story was and I was all I absolutely love this new series and it’s one of the most disturbing and equally entertaining shows I have come across in a long time? Well… season one holds a very special place in my heart but aside from that, I think Freak Show could very well be my favorite season yet. Only time will tell!

I’m still not caught up on Nashville but I didn’t want to leave it out because this show is so worth watching. As for Criminal Minds and Law & Order: SVU… I don’t watch these shows weekly, just when there’s a certain subject matter or guest star that I’m interested in, and I’m excited to see what’s in store for the upcoming seasons. Finally, I’m very much anticipating Black-ish and enjoyed the Pilot of Red Band Society which is available on Hulu, Fox.com, etc… though I’m pretty sure I’ll be watching Red Band Society On Demand given I can’t watch everything live.

Thursday
8pm
The Biggest Loser (NBC, Sept 11), Grey’s Anatomy (ABC, Sept 25), The Vampire Diaries (The CW, Oct 2)
9pm
Scandal (ABC, Sept 25), GRACEPOINT (Fox, Oct 2)
10pm
Haven (Syfy, Sept 11), Parenthood (NBC, Sept 25), HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER (ABC, Sept 25)

It’s truly amazing to see how far Thursday night TV has come. This is definitely going to be my #1 favorite night of this TV season.

The Biggest Loser, Grey’s Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries, Scandal, Haven, and the final season of Parenthood. Be still my heart! Then add on the miniseries, Gracepoint starring the doctor David Tennant and How to Get Away with Murder starring Viola Davis… what a night! Oh my goodness, I cannot wait!

Not on my schedule but worth mentioning, NBC’s A TO Z (you can watch the Pilot on Hulu now). This seems like a show that I won’t commit to now but will probably catch up on over the holidays.

Friday
8pm
UTOPIA (Fox, Sept 12)
9pm
Grimm (NBC, Oct 24)
10pm
Z NATION (Syfy, Sept 12)

I watched the entire first season of Grimm when it first aired and I loved it but then for some reason, I stopped watching regularly. It’s one of those shows that I really do enjoy so when I do watch it live, I get so mad that I don’t take the time out to watch it regularly. Perhaps things will change this season? Who knows. I’m just so excited that this show is still on the air because it’s awesome! Also, I’m glad it’s not in the same time slot as Z Nation because that would be cruel!
