While living in LA, I was able to meet some amazing people in Hollywood and be introduced to some pretty amazing people in Hollywood.

One of my friends mentioned his good friend in the Hollywood spotlight and this is only the beginning. Her name is Brittany Flickinger.

If you watch MTV, you already know who she is. If you don’t, it is okay because you will be hearing lots more from her when her debut album releases in the near future. In the meantime, I figured now would be a great time to get an interview with her because she is definitely a rising star. Check it out:

What process are you at with putting your debut album together?
I’m in the studio right now actually. Song one is almost finished. I’m really excited about it. It’s so awesome!

How would you describe the sound of your album?
Original. Its mostly rock/electro dance kind of sounding but edgy and fun at the same time.

Do you want to have an original title for your album or have it self titled?
I have been through a LOT so I’m going to name it something really meaningful to me.

Will you release an album as a solo artist or wait until you have a full band?I’m still figuring that out. I’m definitely going to have a band for a tour either way. I want to share the experience with a group of friends. It is the bonding experience that I am more interested in when we are on stage.

Is it true you will have your own reality show finding your band? If so, how is that coming together and when do you think it will air?
Yes, but I am not sure how it is going to work yet since I am so busy in the studio.

Who would you like to sing a duet with?
Many people. And I plan on it. Forever the sickst kids and I are doing a colab and I am going to be the girl in their video “Hey Brittany.” Also, I am doing a colab with the fall of troy, and a few other big names that aren’t set in stone yet so I will get back to you on those.

If I were to go through your iPod, what would I find that you listen to?
7 ipods worth of music. Haha I love muse, thrice, underoath, dance gavin dance, mayday parade, some of my friends bands like all time low, boys like girls, danger radio, the fall of troy, escape the fate, love it or leave it, nural, hey monday, cute is what we aim for, powerspace, envy on the coast, etc…

Who are some people that you look up to when it comes to fashion?
Well, this is a really big question because I love designing clothes and making what I wear for red carpets and appearances. So it is kind of hard to get everyone in there but a few people that I really like elements from are Dolce&Gabbana, Betsey Johnson, Diesel Jeans Co., etc… I have to really think about it though. I like classic designers and Japanese designers a lot. Edgy high fashion with a dirty rock twist. Never boring.

Do you keep in contact with any of the BFF contestants?
Yes I do!

What is your favorite and least favorite thing about living in LA?
I love traveling. Being in a new area is really cool. Driving on the highway is incredible, like seeing all the mountains. My least favorite is the fakeness and how you are cool by your fame status or wealth. It is just fucking stupid and materialistic. People will be nice but who knows what they say when they leave.

What are your favorite spots to hang out at in LA?
My house with friends. Haha I dont LOVE clubs. They’re cool but they are all the same. Villa, my house, Bardot, Apple… I kind of just got introduced to these electro party clubs like The Heist, Cinespace, Dance and underground electro parties. Different world. Really interesting. Definitely check it out.

What are your favorite shows to watch on TV and what movies are you looking forward to?
CARTOONS! Sponge Bob, Fairly Oddparents, Reno 911, and anything with weird humor.

How many Hollywood events do you go to on average in a week?
Ahh depends on the week. Sometimes I skip out and just go to an underground club. I know I am supposed to be networking…but these places are so much more laid back and the people are way more fun.

What countries have you been to and which countries would you like to visit?
I have been to Japan (my favorite), Australia, and most recently, Canada. I love traveling. I want to go to all the countries that I possibly can.

What is one question you get asked too often and what is one question you don’t get asked enough?
I get asked about Paris (Hilton) way too much and how my life has changed. I don’t want to talk about the show anymore. Don’t you think it is time that I talk about me in interviews instead of my friend? Do an interview with her for that. Haha. I get asked lots of questions and I love how they always change. I would like to be asked about my music more and my fans. There are so many fans and I love them all so much!
