Watching the Pilot only reinforced what I thought about the show beforehand, which is that it is such a silly show to watch but you really have to have a certain humor to be able to enjoy it. I laughed at some points but at other points, the jokes fell flat.
The show in a sense tries too hard to be funny. I only gave this show a chance because I love Molly Shannon but unfortunately, that will not keep me watching every week. I have not watched the original version of the show, but from what I am hearing, the original is amazing and this remake is not. I hate to say it, but I would not be surprised if the show was canceled if it doesn’t step up.

Hey Melody, its Kat from drewbarrymore.com. Love the site, have yet to watch the US Kath and Kim(I’m an Aussie) but have heard absolutely terrible reviews. The original series is brilliant but the humour in our one is totally australian so not sure if americans would get it, i dunno maybe they/you would lol. In the Aussie one there is a character named Sharon and she is an integral part of the show and i find it really strange that there isnt the same type of character in the US version. Will just have to wait and see how long it lasts 😉
