It’s almost October and I’m just now getting to September releases on my radar, I know, I know! That said, September doesn’t really feel real to me until the first full week of Fall TV kicks off aka this week. So, potatoes. I’m super psyched that American Housewife, The Good Place and This Is Us are back this month! I’m really excited for the new series premiering this month including NBC’s Manifest, Netflix’s limited series, Maniac starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill which I already binged, and Amazon’s Forever starring Maya Rudolph and Fred Armisen which I also already binged. Both Maniac and Forever are some of the most bold, risk taking, thought provoking and exciting original series I’ve watched all year. Highly recommend but I totally would understand if you don’t click with it because it’s not for everyone. Anyway, soon I’ll be incorporating TV talk into my Instagram stories, so stay tuned for that if you miss my TV Week in Review posts!
Movie wise, I most want to see Peppermint, A Simple Favor, and the new Quincy Jones documentary, Quincy on Netflix. I’m totally going to get to Quincy this weekend and highly recommend you do as well!
As for books, my top priorities are Sadie by Courtney Summers, A Room Away from the Wolves by Nova Ren Suma, Wildcard by Marie Lu, Vengeful by V.E. Schwab, A Blade So Black by L.L. McKinney, Black Wings Beating by Alex London and Give the Dark My Love by Beth Revis. Nothing else matters! I’ve been slowly listening to the audiobook for Wildcard (trying to savor every moment) and I love it just as much as the audiobook for the first book in the series, Warcross (same narrator, Nancy Wu.)
What are you anticipating this month?
