March 2018 Releases On My Radar

It’s already mid-March and I’m just now getting to what’s on my radar Look, I’ve been busy. I recently got a promotion at work. I wrote a few posts on Writer’s Block Party. And as of last week, I am now an Aunt (for the first time!)! So, life has been a happenin’ behind the scenes!

As for the blog, stay tuned for my interview next Tuesday with Michelle DeFraites of BET’s The Quad! Speaking of TV, lots of great shows have returned or are returning this month, including Atlanta, Jessica Jones, Timeless, The Arrangement, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine! Woo! Lots of new shows in March too, though none I’m particularly wild about as of yet. Time will tell.

As for movies, I’m most excited for Tomb Raider – which I initially was like, “Why are they remaking this? It was fine,” but after I saw the trailer quickly changed that to, “I’m in,” Love, Simon – which, if you haven’t read the book first, GO DO THAT, Pacific Rim: Uprising because Pacific Rim blew me away and I’ve been anticipating its sequel since before I even finished watching the first one, and Ready Player One because I loved the book and I love Spielberg and omg phew the reviews are stupendous. I already saw Gemini starring Zoë Kravitz (through The Q&A with Jeff Goldsmith Podcast – stay tuned for that episode) which I really enjoyed and would totally see again if I knew anyone in LA who wanted to see it ha ha.

Finally, books! You already know how I feel aboutNothing Left to Burn by Heather Ezell. Go buy it. I’m most excited to get to Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi, Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi, and Unmasked by Andrew Lloyd Webber. But these and many more books on my TBR will have to wait because I am currently zooming through memoirs by super talented amazing Black women in Hollywood. I recently read and enjoyed memoirs by Taraji P. Henson, Tiffany Haddish, Kim Fields, and Gabrielle Union to name a few. So good! I highly recommend listening to the audiobooks as well since they narrate them! But enough of me talking, here’s a look at March…
