Frankie Bellisario knows she can get anyone she sets her sights on, but just because she can doesn’t mean she should—not when the person she’s eyeing is Samara Kazarian, the daughter of a southern Republican mayor. No matter how badly Frankie wants to test her powers of persuasion, even she recognizes some lines aren’t meant to be crossed.
But when Frankie learns she’s been on Samara’s mind too, the idea of hooking up with her grows too strong to resist. Only Sam’s not looking for a hookup; she wants—needs—the real thing, and she’s afraid she’ll never find it as long as Frankie’s in her head.
Forced to choose between her first relationship and losing the girl who’s been clawing her way under her skin, Frankie opts to try monogamy…under her own condition: 30 days of keeping things on the down low and remaining abstinent. If she fails as hard at girlfriending as she’s afraid she might, she doesn’t want to throw Samara’s life into upheaval for nothing. But when neither the month nor Frankie’s heart go according to plan, she may be the one stuck fighting for the happily ever after she never knew she wanted.
Out On Good Behavior follows Frankie, who is pansexual, at a moment in time where she’s challenged with love in a way that she never has been before. Monogamously. Abstinent. With a girl who is not quite out like she is. She steps up to the plate and takes a chance on love and you’ll have to read to see what happens – and you’ll definitely want to read it to find out how it concludes.
From the moment I started this New Adult companion series, I was so excited about Frankie (a minor character in the first two books) so it brings me great joy to finally read her story. And even more joy for so many more reasons.
It brings me so much joy to have a book following a main character who is pansexual (never read a book from a character who identifies in this way so this was a new perspective for me) written by a bi-sexual author. I can’t even tell you how much that means. Especially today, the week of June 12, 2016. This book was released just days after the biggest mass shooting in the country which took place at a gay club during Pride Month on Latin night. Those emotions plus reading this f/f romance and having even more emotions…man, this book will encourage a closeted person to come out and I am not saying that lightly. This week of all weeks and all of the emotions. Just. Wow.
This book might be just what you need right now whether you’re out or not. This book is love is love is love is love is love and it’s beautiful and it’s something you can hold onto and cherish forever and that is priceless.
Out On Good Behavior has such colorful characters with such complex and interesting pasts. It’s romance through and through and has a no nonsense approach in putting blissful ignorance and hate on blast. I love how well the college experience is captured (finding a job on campus anyone?) and the little details that make up this world.
I love that Frankie has moments where she realizes that there’s the family we’re born with and there’s the family we choose. I love that she also experiences a moment where she realizes that even the people we think we can depend on don’t always come through.
Frankie goes through a lot in this book. It’s so deeply rooted in the realities that we don’t like to face but need to, I can’t even begin to tell you how thankful I am for this book and how much I think this book will hit the mark for so many readers.
I loved how witty Frankie and her friends are. Dahlia’s humor is the best. I love that Frankie is pushed past her limits, that she pushes herself. That she knows who she is and understands that this doesn’t mean you stop questioning and stop learning and growing.
I love the contrast in the journeys of Frankie and Samara’s sexual identities and how steamy things were throughout. I love that so many readers will be able to see themselves on this campus because we see not just through these two but through their friends and beyond just how diverse the campus is when it comes to race, sexual identities, and gender identities.
This book hits the mark in every way. Out On Good Behavior is sincere and sexy and is the absolute perfect conclusion to the Radleigh University companion series.
