My First Loot Crate Haul!

After hearing about the ultimate geek subscription box, Loot Crate and drooling over the loot inside from other people that I follow and so on, I finally got my first Loot Crate box which I’ve chosen to receive over the next handful of months.

Loot Crate is a monthly mystery crate for gamers, geeks and fans of pop culture, delivering cool (and often exclusive!) items like collectibles, t‑shirts, gadgets and more. There’s a $45+ value in every crate!

Note: This box came awhile ago but I’m just now getting around to talking about it! I’ve already received my next Loot Crate box which I will blog about shortly so stay tuned!

The Loot:

The theme for this month’s box was “Versus.” Good vs. evil. Hero vs. Antihero. Creature vs. creature. Etc.. I loved this theme, especially as my first box from Loot Crate because it set such a classic tone to geek culture and was like a mini treasure box that was an ode to great storytelling. So what was inside my first box?

  • Star Trek Mirror Mirror Spock T-Shirt (Quantum Mechanix)

This was an awesome shirt! Just note that their t-shirts do run small so I suggest getting one size larger than you wear/think you need if you are considering signing up for this subscription box.

  • Daredevil/Punisher Reversible Beanie (Bioworld)

I am a fan of Daredevil but I’d be lying if I said I knew enough about Punisher to appreciate this mashup of a beanie. Still, it’s very stylish and I totally wouldn’t mind sporting the Punisher side.

  • Alien vs. Predator 4.5 inch Vinyl Figure (Titan Merchandise)

Just in time for Alien Day, this was the perfect Alien vs. Predator merch for any fan and any vinyl figure collector.

  • Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice Mighty Wallet (Dynomighty)

If you’re interested in a nerdy recyclable wallet to have on hand, this is for you! This definitely won’t help during any comic convention if you plan on carrying a lot of cash to buy your collectibles and what not but for limited cash, this might work!

  • Aliens vs. Predators Pin (Loot Crate Labs)

Every Loot Crate box gives you an exclusive pin for all of you pin collectors! I’ll be sure to keep mine so that I can pass them out at comic con to random pinners who want them!

  • Loot Crate Exclusive: Harley Quinn Issue #1 Written by Amanda Conner & Jimmy Palmiotti, Art by Amanda Conner & Chad Hardin (DC Comics)

I can’t say that this story really did it for me but it was great to see Harley Quinn in my box!

  • Loot Crate Magazine: March 2016

This monthly newsletter details what is in the box, a number of looters with fun shots of their loot and more. If you want to be featured in the next newsletter, be sure to post yourself with your loot on social media and the appropriate hashtags!

  • Flyer for Word Gush Party Game App (The game is a mashup of charades and trivia. Basically, if you like Heads Up or Hollywood Game Night, this is a geeky game app of all of that which you’ll really enjoy).

I’m not a gamer so this flyer was a pass for me but if you are, I’m sure this was the cherry on top for some! Also worth mentioning, the box that loot crate sends is reversible and comes with an awesome design that matches the theme of the month. Pretty fun reason to reuse the box! Okay, so here’s the loot!
