Fall TV begins TONIGHT for me with the return of Syfy’s Z Nation and Continuum! I am so pumped! I’ve got my TV Watch List ready to go which you can always view here to keep up with what’s on my schedule! That’s the nuts and bolts of it all (minus a handful of shows I’m so far behind on, I don’t put them on the list for the time being *cough* Nashville *cough*) though below, I get a little more in depth with what I’m excited for this TV season. Be sure to let me know what you’re excited for as well! Okay!!!
Here we go!

Lost Girl – The Final Season (Syfy)
Z Nation (Syfy, Sept 11)
I’m a few episodes behind on Continuum, so I will be DVRing the premiere of the final season and will hopefully catch up later this month! I am SO pumped for Z Nation tonight! It was one of my favorite new shows last fall and I’m sure season two is going to be just as amazing.
As for other shows I’m catching up on right now and will be caught up in time for the new seasons? Finding Carter and Supernatural.
As for shows I need to catch up on but won’t in time for the new season (though I may by the time winter rolls around)? Agent Carter (I stopped watching because the lack of racial diversity just rubbed me the wrong way but I hear season two maybe different?), American Crime as I got behind and never caught up, Person of Interest, Bloodline, Daredevil (It’s not as exciting as I thought it would be), Orange is the New Black (Finale), and Outlander (Still haven’t finished reading the book).
I’m most excited for Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away With Murder, Once Upon A Time, The Walking Dead, Orphan Black, Scorpion, The 100, Arrow, The Flash, iZombie, The Vampire Diaries, Haven (the final season), and 12 Monkeys. Especially 12 Monkeys!!!! Oh. My. Goodness. If there’s one new show from last year that you haven’t seen and want to try out, please, PLEASE watch 12 Monkeys.
Bates Motel, Doctor Who, CSI: Cyber, and American Horror Story are solid. Well, I have yet to really connect with this doctor and last season wasn’t terrible but it also wasn’t the best. Still, I have hope for the upcoming season.
I occasionally watch Criminal Minds, Grimm, and Law & Order SVU and have no intention of watching them week to week but when I do catch new episodes on the air, I enjoy them. Gotham was solid during season one and I’m hoping the same stays true for season two otherwise I’ll be dropping it. I said I was going to drop The Blacklist but it might reel me in again. We’ll see. And finally, I hope Castle gets put out of its misery because it’s a decent show but it’s nowhere near as exciting as it used to be but I just can’t seem to quit this show! is there a show you just can’t quit?

THE X-FILES (FOX, Jan 24)
HEROES REBORN (NBC, Sept 24)
Can we talk about Heroes Reborn for a minute? Heroes is back! One of my top three favorite shows EVER is back! With a two hour premiere! With Tim Kring and much of the original gang on board! With newbies that range from Zachary Levi (Chuck) to actual fresh faces on the small screen. I am beyond excited, over the moon. Oh. My. Goodness. Beyond. Heroes is LIFE. I AM EXCITED.
Then there’s The X-Files which I watched occasionally growing up when my dad was watching it but never seriously got into. I’m totally DVRing this so that it will be ready for me to watch after I watch the original series in order from the beginning.

My 5 Most Anticipated New Dramas Are… Quantico, Limitless, Minority Report, Blindspot, and Colony. I’m also highly anticipating Syfy’s Childhood’s End and The Expanse but it’s Syfy so it’s a default excitement for me.
I’ve watched the series premiere of Scream Queens and don’t see myself watching the entire season though that could change. Right now, I’m trying to work out in my head if it’s basically American Horror Story: Sorority or if it’s the Sharknado of Ryan Murphy’s work. Stay tuned for my advanced review of the premiere.

TRUTH BE TOLD (NBC, Oct 16) starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Vanessa Lachey, Tone Bell, and Bresha Webb
My 3 Most Anticipated New Comedies Are…Crazy Ex-Girlfriend because of the singing and comedy, not at all because of the premise (eek), Grandfathered, and The Grinder (even though Rob Lowe annoys me). All of this said, I’ll be very surprised if I’m still watching any of these comedies by the time winter hiatus arrives because none of these seem like must watch TV and not a single one of these seems promising when talking long term. I hope I’m wrong and that at least one of these is actually really amazing and sticks around for awhile. Only time will tell.

Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles (Bravo)
Comic Book Men (AMC, Premieres Oct 18)
The Amazing Race (CBS, Sept 25)
Undercover Boss (CBS)
Million Dollar Listing LA usually airs in the summer but premiered in September this year so I totally missed the first episode but it’s really no big deal. Of these shows, the only one that I make a point to watch is Comic Book Men. Simply because I’ve always been connected to the world of comic books as my dad is a comic book artist and this show is just very homey to me. So I’m excited for its return!
