This week on Face Off, host McKenzie Westmore met the artists to inform the them of their foundation challenge which was to create a retro style alien. Cool! I’m always down for an alien challenge. I liked Ricky, Nora, Meg, Jason, and Jordan’s makeups the most. Though it was Evan who won immunity for the week! If you thought that was the end of that, you thought wrong. For the spotlight challenge, the artists had to take the aliens from the foundation challenge and evolve them into a sci fi franchise. Pretty awesome way to blend the challenges together. I like it, I like it…

So, Jasmine was having a bit of trouble in the lab which worried me because she’s one of my favorites! Stevie also had frustrations after mentor, Michael Westmore‘s visit with surprise guest, Star Trek actor, Jonathan Frakes But come time for the reveal stage (with this week’s guest judge being Star Trek‘s Michael Dorn), neither had anything to worry about. My favorite looks were Ricky (fierce!), Jasmine, and Meg. I was so shocked to find that Ricky didn’t get into the top looks this week! Ugh. Talk about disappointing.

Jason’s creation was great from afar as were many of them but up close, they were so-so. Then there were the bottom looks…Jasmine, Jason, and Jordan. Yeah, Jasmine was in the bottom. But, remember, I said she had nothing to worry about because it simply wasn’t her time. Jason was eliminated this week. Sad as it was, it wasn’t Jasmine, so all was well in my world. But I am going to miss Jason. Good luck with your future endeavors! The judges’ top looks were Stevie, Scott, and Ben and I really thought that all of them would be safe and maybe Ben would get a top look so I was surprised to find that what I thought was simply safe rose above the rest. Ben’s stood out the most of the top looks so I was rooting for him to win this week’s challenge….which he did! Yeah!!!!! Congrats, Ben!!!
