My good friend and writing critique partner, Akshaya tagged me in the 7-7-7 Writing Challenge so I’m here to share a small excerpt of a young adult novel that I plan on querying later this year. Talk about nerves!
THE CHALLENGE:
1) Go to page 7 of your WIP (Work in Progress).
2) Scroll down to line 7.
3) Share the next 7 sentences in a blog post.
5) After the excerpt tag 7 other writers (or however many you’re able to) to continue the challenge.

WHAT I’M SHARING:
Logline: When sixteen year old Karsyn Grant is killed and reaches the other side, she learns she has seven years to right every wrong she’s ever made by helping others on earth do the right thing and if Karsyn fails, she must relive the remaining faults for the rest of her life.
Twitter Pitch: After KD & her killer die, they have 7 years to right their wrongs or relive their faults for eternity. Game on. YA Supernatural
Excerpt:
I’m dead. This is real. This can’t be real.
I lean back on the locker behind me and close my eyes. The clock is ticking on this list and I don’t even know how I got here. When did the countdown begin? When I took my last breath or when I was handed my list?
I won’t be tagging anyone as the people that I have thought of to tag are now agented or with a small press (yay you guys!) and are not in the position to be sharing their work like they used to. A good problem to have. 🙂
Be sure to head to Akshaya’s Blog to read her awesome excerpt!
