Once Upon A Time (ABC) – Episode 4.20 “Lily”
Initially, I wasn’t all that interested in Lily’s backstory but while watching this episode, I found myself captivated and genuinely interested in and invested in her journey. Another testament to how amazing the writers on this show are. Really great episode here!
The Last Man On Earth (FOX) – Episode 1.12 “The Tandyman Can”
I loved how the dynamics flipped this week as the ladies were pining after the new Phil Miller, including Carol and Todd was getting a taste of the discomfort that Phil felt, now seeing Phil #2 as a threat to his relationship with Melissa. Well, like Phil, Todd didn’t really think his actions through and jumped the gun, ending his relationship with Melissa. Do you think these two will get back together though? Something tells me it could still work. Everyone is insecure but it’s the way we handle that insecurity that matters and while Todd didn’t do a great job here, he’s certainly worth rooting for more than Phil at the moment.
It was great to see Carol go after something and get it. And by get it I mean sleep with Phil #2. Show ’em how it’s done, Carol! Ha! Ha! With a majority vote for Phil #2 to be President earlier in the episode, does this mean that Carol is the first lady again? Or is she still in the newly broken up, I’m single so I’m going to do what I want phase? Hmm. Anyway, this episode made me laugh out loud on multiple occasions and that’s something to be very proud of. I think this was also one of the most well written episodes as well! Really great!

Gotham (FOX) – Episode 1.21 “The Anvil or the Hammer”
The Ogre storyline was great while it lasted. Too bad it didn’t mean the end for Barbara. Maybe the writers have something planned for her in season 2? Or maybe in the finale she will bite the dust? Aside from that, it’s war now in Gotham thanks to Penguin and I am actually anticipating next week’s episode. Although I don’t think I’ll be reviewing the show come season two. I’m just not that into it so I kind of just want to watch each week and move on.
Castle (ABC) – Episode 7.21 “In Plane Sight”
This episode was great! I’m a sucker for airplane mysteries so I was captivated from the moment the episode began. I’m glad it lived up to my expectations! As filler as it was, it was great filler!

New Girl (FOX) Episode 4.21 “Panty Gate”
“Have you seen my white friends?” – Winston
I love that we got to see a different side of Coach, a vulnerable side as he put himself out there and fought for May after their breakup. I love that Schmidt broke up with his stiff necked girlfriend. I love that Jess really thought she was a love doctor. This episode was great. It has great plots and great jokes and is definitely an episode I could see myself re-watching just because.
Arrow (THE CW) – Episode 3.21 “Ah Sah-Him”
Well this week was another dud. It seems to be hit or miss this season with Arrow and what’s frustrating is that this episode could have been really good as we see Oliver in a way we never have before. Oh, Arrow.

The Middle (ABC) – Episode 6.22 “While You Were Sleeping”
I related to the struggle Frankie and Mike had of falling asleep during a movie too many times so that was hysterical! Can’t relate to married date night but I still found the storyline hilarious. Then, Axl and Brick actually bond over a barbecue sauce venture of their own. Ha! Good start guys. Got some learning to do. Meanwhile, Sue and her prom date struggle commences. Boy did I love her prom dress! Beautiful! I hate that it got ruined. I hate it. But I love that in all of that, she got her happy moment. She realized her mall friend genuinely likes her and offered to go to prom with her because of this very reason. Adorable. I wonder where this relationship will go! OooOooo!!!
Modern Family (ABC) – Episode 6.21 “Integrity”
Gloria encourages Haley to stand up for herself at work and it is glorious! Claire tries to get an integrity award for Luke at school by bribing the vice principal. Ha! The things parents do hahaha. Cam and Mitch agree that they want another baby… and then quickly agree that they don’t! Oh my goodness. Too funny!
Meanwhile, Phil and Jay were involved in a princess castle conflict that I didn’t really get because admittedly, I was a bit distracted when their story was on. I do remember seeing Phil giving Jay the silent treatment in the car as he was upset about something and Jay had to pull it out of him. Phil…mad! Oh! Great episode! Can’t wait to see what the writers have in store for us for the final episodes of the season.
Blackish (ABC) – Episode 1.21 “The Peer-ent Trap”
Dre and Rainbow school Zoey when she decides to joy ride without a license. Oh, Zoey. I loved watching Dre and Rainbow as they decided how to best handle the issues, both together and then, as we see, separately before they come back together and are on one accord. Absolutely hysterical. I feel like I say every week that that week is one of my top favorite episodes of the show but this show is just soooo good, that’s how I feel! So good!

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC) – Episode 11.22 “She’s Leaving Home”
“I did not stab him in the neck with these tweezers. I want that noted.” – Bailey
Wow. What an incredible episode. And by incredible, I really do mean shocking. Shocking because Derek was the focus of attention for what felt like all of two minutes as we skipped through the funeral and overpass and jumped forward in time to Easter, the Fourth of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and so on. Yes. So on.
We saw Mama Avery shut down another proposal from Richard before much time went by and she finally accepted, April go overseas to do work among soldiers – extending her stay 3x before finally coming home (better have, girl!), we saw Amelia’s grieving process – which was something else, man! Oh boy. She had me teary eyed for realsies. There were cases as well, it was so good to see Nicole Sullivan (Rita Rocks) in the episode. But in all of this, the second hour of this two hour episode is really what we needed to see after the death of Derek last week.
I loved that Meredith went away to grieve. For so long. Because it takes time. I love that when we saw her again, she was pregnant with Derek’s child. That she had that gift from him. That she had complications and bled out in front of her daughter and the parallels between the present and her past were so prevalent. So similar and yet so different. I love that Mer named the baby Ellis. I loved so much of the second hour it’s almost easy to forget the first hour ever happened but I know it exists so I’m really on the fence on how I conclusively feel about this episode. How do you feel?
The Vampire Diaries (The CW)
Episode 6.20 “I’d Leave My Happy Home for You”
Wow, this week was disappointing. I wasn’t captivated at all. I think I also expected more from Lily at this point and she seems to be on the attack but really, what else is new in town? Hopefully the next few episodes, the final episodes of the season will make up for it!
