Verse 2 Notes:
Lazarus was placed at Jesus’s table and was filled. Go to Jesus’s table to be filled.

Verse 3-6 Notes:
Judas was a thief…in case you didn’t know.

Verse 9 Notes:
Nosy spectators. Don’t be bothered by these people. Let God use you so you can plant a seed that will change their motives.

Verse 10 Notes:
The chief priest wanted Lazarus dead because the Jewish people were showing signs of believing in Jesus. Ha! How dare His people begin to believe! The nerve. When people see you starting to believe, starting to wake up and move, they will not always want you to succeed. Tis life.

Verse 19 Notes:
The Pharisees knew that their good ride was ending.

Verse 23-24 Notes:
Jesus is saying that He’s about to die and him dying will birth life because then people will believe in Him and when they believe in Him and accept him, they gain eternal life.

Verse 27 Notes:
Jesus had fellowship with God and had the big picture and that’s what kept him going. We may not have the complete big picture but we have enough of it to keep going (Ex. Abraham was told that his descendants would as many as the stars but I’m pretty sure Jesus didn’t give him a census HA HA). Jesus had the entire big picture and died for humanity. We only have a little bit, what can we do with that?

Verse 34 Notes:
They were mocking him again…they didn’t get it. Some people who don’t understand you (whether they try to or not) will mock you. It comes with the territory of disbelief.

Verse 36 Notes:
Jesus was preparing for and speaking of His death and how He would save those who truly wanted to be saved.

Verse 47 Notes:
Jesus did not come to judge. He came to save the world. (The second coming though? That’s another story.)

Tomorrow…John 13.
