John 15
– Jesus is telling his disciples not only what will happen after Jesus dies and rises (Verse 32, they will be scattered) but also when Jesus comes to earth the second time. And He’s telling them that they are not alone (and will never be alone) so that they may have peace on their difficult journeys ahead.
– Verse 7 ties in with John 14:3.
– When God comes (rapture/tribulation), He will convict and He will lift up the righteous.
John 16:33 (Amplified)
I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]
Tomorrow…John 17.
