This fundraising campaign is for a number of We Need Diverse Books initiatives that involve giving grants and awards as well as the Diversity in the Classroom program where they bring diverse books and authors to schools who need them most, Educational Kits for teachers, librarians and booksellers, and the 2016 Diversity Festival which I am SO excited for!

There are many perks for those who donate including…. t-shirts, totes, posters, critiques from top agents, prints signed by Dav Pilkney (of Captain Underpants fame) and limited edition WNDB holiday cards!
I am so pumped about this campaign and know that it will be a success as this organization has already shown itself to be one! I encourage you to spread the word on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and wherever else you can! You can also add a We Need Diverse Books ribbon to your Twitter profile using Twibbon which I’ve done and use the Twitter hashtags #WeNeedDiverseBooks and #SupportWNDB when talking about the organization and fundraising.
There will be a Twitter hashtag party TODAY at 1pm EST using the hashtag, #SupportWNDB so be sure to check the feed and participate if you can or RT later if you can’t make it.
