What to Watch This Weekend: Netflix Edition #15

On the weekend, I recommend movies, documentaries, and/or TV series that I found through Netflix or started watching because it was conveniently on Netflix and I had been meaning to get to that movie/documentary/TV show for some time. If you have any recommendations, feel free to leave a comment!

Documentaries

Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father

Kurt Kuenne’s tribute to his murdered friend, Andrew Bagby, tells the story of a child custody battle won by Bagby’s ex-girlfriend and accused killer.

Wow. wow. wow. wow. wow. So many revelations. I was not expecting that! Wow. wow. wow. Talk about the good up against the bad. My goodness.

The Woman Who Wasn’t There

Filmmaker Angelo J. Guglielmo Jr. discusses the truth about 9/11 “survivor” Tania Head, who crafted a stunning story of loss — and deception.

What a crazy lady. Crazy. Very disturbing.

The Square

As the Egyptian Revolution unfolds, this 2014 Academy Award® nominee for Best Documentary Feature immerses the viewer in the intense emotional drama of young people on the streets of Cairo claiming their rights and creating a society of conscience. As two governments topple, the personal stories of the freedom fighters unfold in an inspiring tribute to the power of citizenship.

This doc may be a little biased but it’s still very interesting and definitely worth watching. Still very eye opening.
