NYFW Documentary “The Tents” Coming Soon

Want a front row seat to New York Fashion Week but not exactly on the list? Catch the US television premiere of James Belzer’s “The Tents” from the comfort of your living room!

In the fashion world, “The Tents” are understood to be the iconic giant white tents seen by millions each Spring and Fall during New York Fashion Week. Hundreds of designers from all over the world gather each year to showcase their latest collections for fashion editors, buyers, celebrities – the world. Told with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with some of the fashion world’s most illustrious figures including Betsey Johnson, Donna Karan, Tommy Hilfiger, and Zac Posen, Belzer’s “The Tents” catalogues the birth of New York Fashion Week and its controversial move from Bryant Park to Lincoln Center.

“The Tents” is a rare look into the world of fashion that will mesmerize viewers from fashionista to emerging designer, and everyone in between. With humorous commentary from Carson Kressley, Patrick McMullan and even Robert Vierdi, “The Tents” is a tantalizing must see.

I know I’ll be watching! I also recommend that you check out my favorite fashion documentaries which I found through Netflix, Valentino: The Last Emperor and The September Issue if you haven’t already.

“The Tents” premieres on Saturday, September 8 (8 pm ET/PT) on Documentary Channel (DISH Network, Channel 197 and DIRECTV, Channel 267).
