Philbrick Hall Re-Opens at Free Library of Philadelphia

Local readers, you must check this out! Philbrick Hall has officially re-opened at the Parkway Central branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia!

This $3 million renovation was 9 months in the making and 4400 new books and DVDs have been added to the library. Simple A-Z organization has been kicked aside for genres, more like a bookstore, which I love! To me, it should always be organized by genre and then alphabetically…so this was long overdue.

My favorite part about the renovation? The library’s first-ever Teen Center has been created as part of the renovation! I may not be a teenager but I still immediately flock to the young adult section in whatever book store that I am at and library (after I get whatever it is that I initially am going there for) so this news is really exciting! Even though there are plenty of libraries between here in Jersey and there, I must head over the bridge soon and check out the new Philbrick Hall! Locals, be sure to check it out soon as well and get a library card if you already aren’t part of a library! See you there!
