The Kimmel Center and The Shubert Organization recently announced their lineup for the upcoming Broadway season!
Dates for the new Broadway Season will include WAR HORSE (Nov. 20 – Dec. 2, 2012) at the Academy of Music; MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET (Dec. 11 – 16, 2012); JEKYLL & HYDE starring American Idol star and Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis (Dec. 26 – 30, 2012), both at the Forrest Theatre; CATCH ME IF YOU CAN (Jan. 15 – 20, 2013); PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT (Feb. 26 – March 3, 2013); THE ADDAMS FAMILY (March 19 – 24, 2013); and SISTER ACT (April 2 – 7, 2013), all at the Academy of Music. I am looking forward to seeing the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, Million Dollar Quartet for the first time. The musical is inspired by the true story of the famed recording session that brought together rock ‘n’ roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. As a fan of the films, Catch Me If You Can and The Addams Family, I am also looking forward to seeing these shows, especially since The Addams Family features an original story.
Additional 2012 – 2013 shows will include: LES MISÉRABLES (Jan 2 – 13, 2013) at the Academy of Music; AMERICAN IDIOT (Feb. 12 – 17, 2013); BLUE MAN GROUP (March 5 – 10, 2013), both at the Merriam Theater; and the return of WICKED (Jun. 27 – Aug. 4) for an extended summer engagement at the Academy of Music.
Who else is excited for all of the above? I have yet to see American Idiot,
based on Green Day’s Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum album of the same title and am really anticipating this show. And I can never get enough of Wicked. The upcoming Broadway Season at The Kimmel Center looks to be quite a treat! So what are you planning on seeing?

Season ticket holders to the 2012-13 Broadway Season subscribers will receive up to 40% off regular single ticket purchases and are offered a variety of exclusive privileges including the first opportunity to select the best seats in the house and the option to renew these seats every year.
Season ticket holders are also entitled to Student and Senior discounts and priority access to additional Broadway Season shows and Kimmel Center Presents performances. A special payment plan option, along with restaurant and retail discounts is also available to subscribers. A convenient flexible ticket exchange program allows patrons to exchange tickets for another performance of the same show.
