25 Days of Christmas is Coming!

It’s that time of year again! Christmas coverage on Hollywood the Write Way is back!

In two weeks, the Countdown to the 25 Days of Christmas officially begins! The countdown begins Sunday, November 20th at 8/7c with the ABC Family original, Holiday in Handcuffs which is a favorite ABC Family Christmas film of mine. Willy Wonka will play on the 23rd and if you haven’t yet seen my video interviews from earlier this fall with the original main cast members and director, click here. And on the 27th at 8/7c, be sure to watch the world premiere of Desperately Seeking Santa!

A steely marketing executive gets more than she bargained for when her “Sexy Santa” contest winner turns out to be more than just a handsome face in the ABC Family original movie Desperately Seeking Santa. Starring Laura Vandervoort (Smallville) and Nick Zano (2 Broke Girls), Desperately Seeking Santa follows Jennifer Walker (Vandervoort), an ambitious young marketing executive for the South Boston mall. With her eye on a big promotion, Jennifer dreams up a plan to increase sales: a search for the hottest Santa in town! Teen girls and their moms, even a local news anchor, flock to the mall to catch a glimpse of the studly competitors. Before the contest even starts, Jennifer clashes with one contestant, David Moretti (Zano), an attractive South Boston native looking to win the $10,000 prize in a last ditch effort to save his family restaurant.

When 25 Days of Christmas officially takes off come December, we can also look forward to the world premiere of the ABC Family original movie, 12 Dates of Christmas, starring Amy Smart (Just Friends, The Butterfly Effect) and Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Franklin & Bash, NYPD Blue). Premiering Sunday, December 11 at 8/7c, 12 Dates of Christmas follows a young woman who re-lives the same first date on Christmas Eve over and over again until she learns to open up her world to new things and stop living in the past.

The Santa Clause, Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, The Polar Express, and many other Christmas favorites are all must sees at this time of year and ABC Family has got you covered.

Plus, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince makes its basic cable premiere on Sunday, December 4 at 8:30/7:30c, which headlines the network’s annual Harry Potter movie marathon running on Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4.
