Coming to HBO this March is the 5 part mini series, Mildred Pierce starring Oscar and Golden Globe winner, Kate Winslet (Revolutionary Road, The Reader).

Based on the novel by James M. Cain, Mildred Pierce is the epic story of a proud single mother struggling to earn her daughter’s love during the Great Depression in middle-class Los Angeles.

This looks fabulous! It’s definitely a must see! The cast and crew are sure to be recognized during award season next year, so don’t miss it this March or you’ll be left out of the great discussion that Mildred Pierce will cause this Spring.

Mildred Pierce is directed by Todd Haynes (I’m Not There), written by Haynes and Jon Raymond, and stars Guy Pearce (The Hurt Locker), Evan Rachel Wood (The Wrestler), Brían O’Byrne (FlashForward), James LeGros (Skateland), Melissa Leo (Frozen River, HBO’s Treme), Mare Winningham (George Wallace) and Hope Davis (HBO’s In Treatment).

Mildred Pierce premieres on HBO March 27, 2011.
