It has been quite exciting for me, moving back to LA but I’m not going to write too much..instead I will just show you…
The day after I arrived, Russell Brand held a social experiment at the Beverly Center Mall which I attended & blogged about here.
Not too long after that, I made my first trip to the Staples Center to see a WNBA game between the Sparks and Mystics. The Sparks won and the game was so much fun to watch.
But being as how I’m not a big sports fan, I needed something I really enjoyed to kick off my move here. So I went to the Troubadour and The Roxy to see Thomas Ian Nicholas and Samantha Marq perform their latest music. They were great and the venues were very comfortable as well.
Then, I decided to connect more with the community. On the first weekend of June, City of Hope (a Comprehensive Cancer Center) held their annual Pediatric Picnic at Griffith Park and I wanted to take some time to check it out, as I have members of my family who have passed away from cancer. The event was basically a mini fair and was very uplifting and I hope to attend again next year.
The next day, I went to volunteer orientation for the Make A Wish Foundation. Look for more updates on that soon.
Now anyone who knows me and has been reading the blog knows that I absolutely love television. So last night, I attended the True Blood Season 3 Red Carpet Premiere as a fan, which I wrote all about at TVOverMind…as I am now a contributor for that website! Here are some photos from the event:
Yes, that is One Tree Hill hunk, Joe Manganiello in the picture above…I interviewed him here.
So the first 2 weeks of my arrival back in Los Angeles have been very good for me if I may say so myself. And this is only the beginning…again.
