Marching for NoH8

Earlier this year, I interviewed Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley, founders of the NoH8 Campaign for Gleek Squad Podcast…and earlier today, I met up with the two and marched with their campaign as part of the LA Pride Parade. I am straight but seeing as how I am both a female and African American, fighting for equality is no stranger to my history. So I wanted to see history being made since I didn’t get to the last few times when women won the right to vote and African Americans were freed, given the right to vote, and racism began to stop being so in your face. So I went to the parade…and aside from seeing history being made…I also caught up with a few celebrities.

Adam & Jeff

Chima Simone (Big Brother)

Shanna Moakler (Former Miss USA)

Check me out in the TwitPic Shanna tweeted here. I’m in the very front, with the yellow balloon, right by the #72.

Sharon & Kelly Osbourne on a float

The event was quite fun. It officially began at 11am and the NoH8 Campaign group ended the parade route around 1:15pm. The festivities are still going on and probably won’t end until midnight, so if you are in West Hollywood, go check out what’s still going on!
