One film that I was anticipating to come out in theaters for quite some time was Valentine’s Day, so I am even more excited that it is now available on DVD & Blu-ray.
Release Date: May 18, 2010
Rating: PG-13
Running Time: 125 minutes
The starriest cast you may ever see sparkles in a hilarious and heartwarming romcom from the director of Pretty Woman and The Princess Diaries. Stories crisscross, collide and boomerang in this look at a day in the life of love. There?s a proposal. Flowers that didn?t get sent. A big fat secret that?s finally told. The ?I?ll show up and surprise him? that ended up surprising her. Fights, kisses, wrong turns, right moves and more. Whether new to or through with love, you’ll fall in love with this 19-star, funny-side-up celebration of romance.
What is so special about Valentine’s Day is that this film covers the spectrum of age, sexual orientation, and relationship status very well thanks to the incredible writing and the talented ensemble cast that was able to be put together. Going into the film, I imagined that with such a big cast, the film would probably be like watching short vignettes that were loosely tied together. I wasn’t wrong. Though everything was interwoven much more thoroughly than I had imagined, some in surprising ways. Viewers will see the good, the bad, and the ugly that comes out on the holiday that gets under everyone’s skin. It is the perfect date movie but it is also the perfect movie to watch with your family and friends. It is incredible what people are willing or aren’t willing to do for the people they love…or lust. This is such a fun film to watch that I wouldn’t be surprised if this was “the movie” to watch every Valentine’s Day. So pick up your copy today because you will be highly entertained. The bloopers during the rolling credits are a fun touch as well since there is no blooper reel on the DVD’s Special Features.
Bonus Features:
Deleted Scenes – There are 14 deleted scenes that start out with an introduction from Director, Garry Marshall. After watching the deleted scenes, it is no wonder why many of the scenes were deleted. So if you normally don’t watch deleted scenes or are weary of the scenes taking away from the film, then don’t watch the deleted scenes.
Valentine’s Day is available to own on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, On Demand, and for Download today.
