2010 Grammy Awards Nominations – Live Blogging

Catch the 2010 Grammy Awards Nominations, hosted by LL Cool J tonight at 9/8c on CBS. Read below for live blogging of the event.

Keep refreshing the page after 9/8c to keep up with my live blogging!

Great opening to the event!

Song Of The Year
“Poker Face” – Lady Gaga
“Pretty Wings” – Maxwell
“Single Ladies” – Beyonce
“You Belong To Me” – Taylor Swift – I love how they turned the camera to The Jonas Bros for her nomination.
I missed the fifth.

George Lopez cracked a joke about Tiger Woods. Funny or too soon?

Sugarland always has a great performance whenever I see them perform on the small screen. Another job well done!

Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals
I’m familiar with 3/5 nominees, Black Eyed Peas, Bon Jovi, and The Fray. Interested in finding out more about the other 2 nominees.

The song Nick Jonas performed was a beautiful song…I just hope the fangirls listened to the lyrics and take it to heart.

Maxwell can paint my toenails! —- Joking.

Best Rock Album
Black Eyes
Eric Clapton & Jeff Beck
Green Day
Dave Matthews Band
U2

Best Rap Solo
Drake
Eminem – Really?
Jay Z
Mos Def
Ahh I was distracted! Who else was nominated?! Can’t wait for the full list of nominees!

Best Country Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals
Congrats all, especially Rascal Flatts & Sugarland!

Record Of The Year
Congrats Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Kings of Leon, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift!

I love that Smokie made the Kanye joke!

Album Of The Year
Congrats Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Dave Matthews Band, and Taylor Swift!

This was such a fun and exciting concert special event! Although only a handful of nominations were shared, so it would be better if the special had a pre-show or post show sharing some of the other nominations in a press conference setting and then list the entire list of nominees the next day. Just a thought but either way I am happy with the nominees above and the special!

The 2010 Grammy Awards will air live from the Staples Center on January 31, 2009 (my birthday) at 8/7c.
