*Madonna‘s MJ speech was beautiful. The MJ dance medley was also very beautiful. The biggest performance in VMA history though was Janet‘s tonight.

*I was never a fan of Kanye West and as the years have passed and his ego has become larger (and continues to become larger) and he continues to act like an immature brat, I have come to hate him. Hate is a strong word but it has come to that point. It’s not solely because of what happened tonight. It’s because of every idiotic, selfish, and rude comment that has come out of his mouth since he started promoting his first album. Although about tonight, he completely interrupted Taylor Swift‘s acceptance speech to pretty much say that Beyonce deserved the award Taylor Swift was winning. What a douche. I guess you can’t expect a college dropout to think before he talks. (Hmmm but wait…my 4 year old cousin can do that actually). And even one of my friends who is a high school dropout knows that the fans vote for who wins Video Music Awards. I’m pretty sure Kanye did not go on MTV.com to vote or rally for everyone to vote for Beyonce… so next year, he should do that once nominations come out to ensure whoever he is rooting for wins. I also believe that Kanye should be banned from all award shows. He is such a disgrace.. What an embarrassment. Your mother would be so proud Kanye.

*Taylor Swift‘s music performance on the subway was creative, original, and I loved it! You can tell when it started out that she was still taken aback by what happened just a few short minutes earlier, but as the performance went on, she really got into it.

*The New Moon trailer was fabulous!

*Beyonce‘s music performance was just as amazing as we all knew it would be!

*Russell Brand is a much better host this year, I think.

*The music performance by Muse was great!!!

*I was excited that Lady Gaga won because she is so fresh and deserved to win although the outfit that she wore when accepting her award…I was not feeling that at all.

*Pink‘s music performance was wild!!! It was so incredible. I loved it!!! I wonder how much rehearsal she did for that act.

*I’m not sure how I feel about musical acts performing during commercials. It’s cool but at the same time, it’s just A LOT packed in. I don’t know. What do you think?

*Jay Z & Alicia Keys‘ music performance was dope! Why did Lil Mama come out though? She ruined a great moment.

*I absolutely loved the Michael Jackson footage closing out the night. I cannot wait until October 28, 2009 to see it all!
