Tonight marks the last performance of The Little Mermaid on Broadway after 50 previews and 685 performances at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. As The Little Mermaid is my second favorite Disney classic and I never got to see the show on Broadway, I am pretty bummed about this. The show sold out the remainder of its run not too long ago and I haven’t heard news about a tour…the show got mixed reviews but I always wanted to see it regardless, so hopefully a tour will happen or a revival in the future. Only time will tell. In the meantime, I need to go out and get a DVD copy of the movie since I still have all of my Disney movies on VHS.
