Chuck – Chuck vs. The Dream Job
Chuck: The only thing that matters now is getting my father back.
Chuck started out quite emotional. Ellie really got to me, she really brought it in this episode. It only made sense that Ellie and Chuck’s father, Steve was involved in something that Chuck needed to fix. Great casting on the father, Scott Bakula by the way. Chuck fumbling on the exercise ball to sit down for the “interview” in the office was hilarious. I loved Jeff’s shirt, “No I will not fix your computer for free.”
Nerd Sarah and Nerd Casey? I didn’t buy it but hopefully those people did. Even though this show sticks with the usual, bombs, and buttons that shouldn’t be pushed, it is still exciting to see. I was disappointed when Sarah dismissed Chuck’s Roark theory. It was expected from Casey but Sarah usually gives him the benefit of the doubt eventually.
I was so glad when Chuck tranquilized Casey. It was about time he stood up to Casey by shooting at him (even if it was just a tranquilizer). Casey has no sympathy for Chuck having the intersect in his head. Chuck took down some of the security all by himself! Look how far he has come. Steve being Orion was not a surprise at all. When Steve was about to take out the intersect, I was thinking, “So close and so far away.” The scene where Chuck had to leave his father was heartbreaking. Next week looks great with Jill back too! Exciting!
House – Simple Explanation
House: He hung the bad with the good. His loss aside a reminder of what he gained.
What a powerful introduction! The couple was something else. What a terrible shocker. I cannot believe Kutner shot himself. It was very interesting to see how each Doctor dealt with Kutner’s death, especially House. House is trying to solve the puzzle of what went wrong and why and covers up his caring with the usual smart comments. 13 should have known that Foreman did not want to be bothered when she found out that he didn’t tell her he was staying home. Cuddy’s wardrobe was fabulous. Did you see her in the black and red? She looked amazing.
I can’t believe Cameron got the patient to sign away his life for his wife. Even after the patient was told that he could be cured but his wife still may not be, he was still willing to die for his wife. Although I am a bit disappointed in the way that Taub handled the situation with the patients.
By the end of the episode, I still had not accepted what happened to Kutner and the other patients were important but not on my mind as much. I cannot wait to see how this changes things for future episodes. This episode was beautifully written and directed. The cast did an amazing job and everything came together so well. What a moving episode.
Heroes – Turn and Face the Strange
Hiro: Oh. Close One.
The introduction was good. I loved how Hiro and Andy had to figure out ways to make the touch and go Matt Parkman happy. Moving onto the more important person in this episode…HRG is such a smart guy. I am so glad he figured out “Sylar” was not really Sylar. Sylar is demented to turn into Sandra and serve the papers for a divorce to HRG the way that he did. The words that he used as Sandra were incredible. Those were strong words. That would have messed me up for a long time so I can only imagine what it is doing to HRG.
I immediately thought that HRG holding the gun up to Sandra’s head was Sylar. That would have been cruel of Sylar to set things up the way that way. Unfortunately Sandra really was Sandra and if she wasn’t feeling the way that Sylar said before, she did then.
Now as with any character you care about, you hate seeing them walk into trouble. I was hoping that Matt was not going to walk into too much trouble, walk onto a self destructive path. Thankfully, Hiro saved him!
Onto the Petrelli family…somebody please fix Claire’s hair. It has been a distraction all season long. I had expected more than just finding a skull when the brothers dug but unfortunately did not get anything out of it. When this actually means something, I will care. So get to it next week or stop dragging it out.
Overall, this was a great episode. It was heavily HRG based and while that was not a problem, I want to see more Micah (and perhaps Barbara). Next week looks decent.
90210 – Off the Rails
Harry: And I think that kids in Kansas have sex too.
The introduction was hysterical while everyone was finding out what was going on with Silver. Navid and Adrianna are so cute together. Regarding Navid and Adrianna, there are so many questions I have. The 2 main questions I have are…Will Ad really go through with adoption? If Ad doesn’t give her baby up for adoption, will Navid really be the father figure?
Moving onto those looking for Silver…Kelly’s mother was a hot mess. It is good to know that Kelly is level headed. There needs to be someone sane in that family. Especially at a time like this when one has to reach out to a troubled family member. Finally Annie realized that she need not act the way she does towards Ethan since they are broken up. Naomi handled the situation as well as I thought that she would.
As for Silver…I completely thought that the guy at Union Station was stealing from Silver. That would have been just the last straw for her. Thankfully, he was not stealing and was actually a savior pretty much. What an interesting part to find out about Silver’s present and Dixon’s past. To learn that his birth mother had bi polar disorder, only for him to get adopted and move thousands of miles away just to find out that he may have a bi polar girlfriend. Wow.
Also interesting how Debbie wants to stay in the Beverly Hills, based on past episodes when she was not that happy about being there. This was a good episode and I am looking forward to next week.
Samantha Who? – The Amazing Racist
Sam: H e thinks its really funny to change all of my radio stations to Gospel. Hallelujah!
The introduction was a great setup for the episode. It was so funny that Andrea’s “boyfriend” had his secret found out by the press. This creates a dilemma for Andrea since she kissed Seth, which was something that should have happened sooner but is now engaged.
Getting to Sam…I cannot believe that Sam got the idea of making a pie out of Todd telling her to leave Frank alone. She totally set herself up with dinner with Frank to prove herself not a racist to the couple she was trying to sell to in the beginning. It was quite funny when Sam was trying to tell the mugger why it wasn’t the best time for him to steal her purse.
I really wish that Samantha had thought longer beforehand and told the police the true race of the mugger. Although I laughed when Sam went to id her mugger and ended up seeing Todd at the police station. So this was a pretty decent episode. I am looking forward to next week. I am ready for Sam to have a few serious flashbacks. I want Sam to have a flashback of something that her parents really should have reminded her about but haven’t. I enjoy the show but this seemed a bit like a filler episode to me since it did not move the story along. Hopefully next week will be better.
The Office – Dream Team
Michael: It doesn’t have to be paper, we could sell medicine.
Did Kevin really have to hold up a piece of paper to say the introduction? He has heard it a million times when Pam said it. It was hilarious Kevin trying to transfer the call to Andy. Everyone was rejoicing as Andy’s phone call was about his maid death. I want to know why Michael was still in his robe. Michael and Pam were cute together. Michael was complaining about the wrong thing. Nobody forced him to start his day the way that he does as part of his paper company. Only Michael wears Crocs around the house instead of slippers.
Andy playing kiss up to Charles was hysterical! I loved it! Especially the look on Jim’s face after Charles went back into his office. That was hilarious how everyone was kissing up to Charles. Leave it to Dwight to blow up Jim’s spot. It went over my head how that random guy joined Michael’s staff. I really do not like Ryan’s hair and I am confused as to why he is working at a bowling alley. That was hysterical when Jim hit Phyllis in the nose. That was funny when Michael said, “You know what they say. Keep your friends close” and ended it at that. What an hysterical episode!
The Office – Michael Scott Paper Company
Ryan: You could be hot too if you made the effort at all.
It doesn’t surprise me that Michael does not know the difference between Britney Spears and Lady Gaga. I cannot believe Michael could not parallel park in that huge space! The fact that he hit the car was just hysterical. The look at that tiny office space, err supply closet Michael has…funny as it is, I am proud he started somewhere other than his condo. Even though his condo could have been good aside from the legal issue. Kelly is the most hilarious thing. I want to know which writer came up with Kelly’s middle name. That is amazing.
I can understand Jim not wanting to ask what a rundown is to Charles but he still needs to figure out what it is. I hope that him faxing the rundown to his dad and not the distribution list will cause too much trouble later down the line. The new girl, Erin fits in it seems. Was that Toby that they heard in the bathroom talking about Damages? I shook my head and laughed when Michael quoted someone else’s quote on his washboard. Michael’s talk about hiring his “best friends” instead of his friends was ridiculous. You know, I would expect more from Ryan. It does not seem like after being a big hot shot in NY, he would just talk on the phone and not work. I would have expected him to want to succeed with Michael. I cannot believe that each of them have “corners” in that small space.
It was disappointing to see Charles dismiss Pam but Pam does have to pay the consequences for making such a rash decision. Michael is an idiot. I think I broke the glass when I laughed at his idiotic remark about starting his own paper company because that will show them! Wow. I cannot believe Creed stole pancakes. Andy and Dwight need to make a song for a future The Office soundtrack. That would be quite the song, with the same instruments they played in this episode.
Terminator: SCC Season Finale – Born To Run
Catherine: I’d watch who is calling who a bitch.
Finding out about John Henry’s glitch was something else. I definitely want to get a bigger storyline out of that. Even close to death, Sarah always has a plan. When the priest showed up and Sarah began telling him everything, I was thrilled. The last time he came around in this episode to tell Cameron’s message, that was good! We will get back to that later.
I was not at all happy when Catherine was proposing the idea to Ellison about meeting up with John. Thankfully, John declined that offer until he is reunited with his mother. Although the message Catherine gave to Cameron through Ellison was not a message any of us wanted to hear. We knew it was coming sooner or later, but it was still hard to hear.
That was unfortunate that the terminator sent to destroy Catherine was not well prepared for Catherine. Finding out about John Henry’s glitch was something else. I definitely want to get a bigger storyline out of that. Even close to death, Sarah always has a plan. When the priest showed up and Sarah began telling him everything, I was thrilled.
Although the last time he came around in this episode, he did not have a positive message for Sarah. That was unfortunate that the terminator sent to destroy Catherine was not well prepared for Catherine.Cameron was well prepared to save Sarah, that is for sure!
After that, it was the countdown to the Connor – Weaver meet up. When they did meet up, I did not understand why Catherine told them to run away from whatever hit the building if she was supposed to be an enemy. (What hit the building and why?) It was interesting to find out that in a sense, Catherine is on the same side as the Connors but more importantly, she is not and she is alone with John is a totally separate time. Why Sarah let John go alone with her to a different time puzzles me.
As far as Cameron giving John Henry her chip, the only reason that I can come up with for that is because she did not have time to get back to her 100% self so she sent John Henry to fulfill the rest of what she needed to do. I do believe that Cameron knew this could have been coming though. Although if that is true, did she find a way to not be in the Turk beforehand? What an ending! This ending was incredible, John seeing Derek, his father, and Cameron – I mean Allison since she was human, when none of them knew about the importance of John Connor. I loved it! Talk about an ending.
One thing I do know is that I have confused myself with a lot of what I just typed and there are too many questions that we all have, many more due to this finale for there not to be more TSCC. I am definitely looking forward to a 3rd season. Only time will tell if Fox renews it.
