Earlier this week I attended an advanced screening of The Secret Life of Bees hosted by Creative Screenwriting Magazine. Afterwards, there was a Q&A with the Witer-Director of the film, Gina Prince-Bythewood. The Q&A should be posted as an episode on the Creative Screenwriting Magazine Podcast soon.

I really enjoyed the film and I cannot wait for the DVD release! It had such a wonderful balance of drama and comedy. This film is going to get a lot of positive buzz! Everything about the film was amazing.

I also really enjoyed the Q&A because I learned so much more about Gina Prince-Bythewood, whereas previously I only knew of her because of her film, Love & Basketball. If you have not read the book, the film does not come out until the 17th, so read fast! This is one film you do not want to miss in theatres, so mark your calendars!
