So I finished reading this memoir, Three Little Words by Ashley Marie Rhodes-Courter and it is the best book I have read this year.

For those of you who do not know, I am very passionate about awareness on certain subjects, one of which is adoption and this book is about Ashley, who became a foster child when her mother’s rights to her were given to the state…resulting in Ashley spending 9 years in 14 different foster homes, 1 of which was very abusive, before being officially adopted.

This is just one voice out of hundreds of thousands of voices of foster children across America and just one voice of billions around the world. It is one voice you need to hear. I highly recommend that everyone read this book and/or attend one of her speeches because you will be changed forever and inspired forever to fight for adoption and foster care program awareness and reform.
